Silence can be both a powerful ally and a deadly enemy. In Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, Silence can use to help or hinder adventurers in a number of ways.

In the Dungeons and Dragons fifth edition Player’s Handbook, silence is a spell that affects a creature or an object in a 5-foot radius around you. The creature or object must make a Constitution saving throw if it can hear you. On a failed save, the target takes 1d6 psychic damage on a failed save and is deafened for 1 minute. On a successful save, the target takes half as much damage and isn’t deafened. This spell can be used as an attack option to deal damage to your target and render them unable to hear anything for one minute.
This can be a very powerful tool when used correctly in battle, but be careful as it also deals some amount of psychic damage to your target. It is best used against

Silence 5e is a spell from the Silence school of magic. It creates an area of silence in its radius for 12 seconds which prevents any sound from entering or exiting within that range. Any individual who is entirely inside the sphere will be immune to Thunder damage and deafened creatures will also be immune if they are entirely inside this area.
Casting the spell requires a verbal component, making it impossible to cast without being able to speak. The entire area becomes silent before casting this spell, stopping conversations, preventing spells with oral components from being cast, and no noise whatsoever issues from or enters into this space during that time period.
However, The spell is a silence effect that also prevents thunder damage to that inside. It`s an area of effect spell with the ability to silence creatures as well as deafen them for what they hear from within its radius. This means it can be used to stop entire groups of enemies from being able to cast spells or make any noise at all, but also allows you and your party members to talk without fear of giving away their position.
How do you silence in 5e?
Within a 20-foot-radius Sphere centered on a point in the range, no sound can be created or passed through. When entirely within the Sphere, creatures and objects are immune to thunder damage, and they are deafened.
Is silence a good spell 5e?
Since spellcasters just move out of the area of silence to perform their casting, we have found the Silence spell to be relatively useless in our games. Silence effects seem to move with the target but can’t be created.
Can silence be dispelled?
As a 2nd level spell, silence is dispelled automatically as are all spells of 3rd level or lower.
